Ecommerce Team Lead

Job Summary: The Ecommerce Team Lead will oversee the ecommerce operations, manage the ecommerce team, and drive strategies to increase online sales and enhance the customer experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Led, mentor, and managed a team of ecommerce professionals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and professional development activities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

E-commerce Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement e-commerce strategies to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns.

Website & Platform Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the e-commerce website, ensuring it is user-friendly, secure, and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with IT and web development teams to implement new features and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure product listings are accurate, visually appealing, and optimized for search engines.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze website traffic, sales data, and customer behavior to identify trends and insights.
  • Prepare regular reports on ecommerce performance, including sales metrics, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Use data to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.

Customer Experience:

  • Ensure a seamless and positive shopping experience for customers, from browsing to checkout to post-purchase support.
  • Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, reduce cart abandonment, and increase repeat purchases.
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Vendor & Partner Management:

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners, including payment gateways, logistics providers, and marketing agencies.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and cost efficiency.

Compliance & Security:

  • Ensure all ecommerce activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect customer data and prevent fraud.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in e-commerce management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Big Commerce) and digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Excel).
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and web development processes.
  • Experience in B2B or B2C ecommerce environments.
  • Certification in digital marketing or e-commerce.
  • Proven expertise in React.js, Node.js, and Vue.js, along with proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Headless framework and Cloud Server knowledge will be an added advantage.
