Role Overview:
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Visual Design Leader to oversee and elevate the work of our 30+ designer team across multiple projects, clients, and deliverables. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone who leads by example, maintains the highest quality standards, and possesses a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to a diverse team of 30+ designers across various specializations
- Quality Assurance: Review and provide constructive feedback on all design outputs to ensure exceptional quality standards
- Hands-on Design: Lead by example by creating first-draft designs and setting quality benchmarks for the team
- Strategic Vision: Develop and implement design strategies that align with business objectives and client goals
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with C-Suite executives, project managers, and client teams
- Process Optimization: Establish and refine design processes, workflows, and best practices across teams
- Stakeholder Management: Present design strategies and solutions to senior leadership and key clients
- Talent Development: Mentor designers, conduct design reviews, and drive professional growth within the team
Project Scope:
- Enterprise web applications
- Marketing landing pages and campaigns
- E-commerce mobile applications
- Illustration and graphic design
- Video content and motion graphics
- Brand identity and visual systems
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years of senior-level design experience with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing and mentoring design teams (15+ designers preferred)
Technical Expertise:
- Master-level proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.)
- Deep understanding of UX/UI principles, web design, and mobile app design
- Experience with design systems and scalable design processes
- Portfolio: Exceptional portfolio showcasing leadership in complex, multi-faceted design projects
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business strategy and ability to align design with business goals
