Brief
Galaxy collaborated with Procurement Sciences (PSci) to transform their outdated website into a modern, intuitive, and user-centric digital experience. The project emphasized improved design consistency, engaging content presentation, and scalability for future growth while aligning with PSci’s strategic business vision.

The Challenge
Outdated Visuals and UX: The existing website suffered from a dated look and feel, with minimal visual appeal and an interface that did not adhere to modern user experience best practices. Navigation patterns were unintuitive, resulting in friction during user interactions.
Poor Information Architecture: The site’s content was densely packed and poorly organized, lacking a clear hierarchy. This made it difficult for users to scan, locate, and comprehend critical information quickly, especially on pages with multiple sections or long-form content.
Limited User-Friendliness: The site’s navigation patterns were unintuitive, and the overall experience lacked user-centric design principles. This resulted in a disjointed journey for visitors trying to explore PSci’s offerings or access relevant content.
Lack of Design Consistency: A unified design system or component library was not in place. UI elements, such as buttons, icons, and typography, were inconsistently applied across the site, resulting in diminished visual coherence and brand trust.
Inconsistent Imagery and Visuals: The site’s visuals were not aligned with any defined brand style or guidelines. Image choices varied in tone, quality, and style, leading to a fragmented visual identity.
Multi-Device Optimization Gaps: While the site was technically responsive, the actual user experience varied significantly across devices. Elements were misaligned, text was difficult to read on smaller screens, and visual assets were not optimized for mobile or tablet viewing.
Proposed Solution
Strategy Grounded in Stakeholder Vision: Galaxy began by thoroughly analyzing PSci’s vision document, business goals, and stakeholder expectations. This ensured that the redesign strategy was aligned with business priorities and user needs from the outset.
Foundational Design System Creation: Built a comprehensive design system from scratch, including a brand style guide with defined typography, color schemes, and UI standards. This system served as the single source of truth for all design components, ensuring consistency across the entire website.
Scalable UI Component Library: A modular library of reusable UI components, such as buttons, cards, icons, navigation elements, and dropdowns, was developed to support scalability and streamline both the design and future development workflows.
Responsive and Brand-Aligned Visual Execution: Using Canva-based visual references, we translated PSci’s intended look and feel into high-fidelity UI designs. Custom illustrations were created to align with the brand identity, while responsive design principles were applied to ensure optimal user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Key Deliverables

Key Feature Enhancements
Delivery and Deployment
Collaborative Requirements and Visual Alignment: The project kicked off with a comprehensive define phase, where Galaxy reviewed PSci’s understanding document, gathered stakeholder inputs, and analyzed initial Canva mockups. This helped align visual direction and brand tone early in the process.
Structured Design Rollout in Phases: The design work was delivered in two structured phases. Phase 1 focused on high-priority core pages such as the Homepage, Platform Overview, and Blog templates. In contrast, Phase 2 expanded the experience with deeper content, including Case Studies, Solutions, and Navigation enhancements.
Design System and Asset Handoff: A robust brand style guide and design component library were delivered to ensure consistency and scalability. Custom illustrations and UI assets were packaged for development, making the handoff to the WordPress team efficient and well-documented.
Iterative Reviews and Development Support: Galaxy maintained an iterative design process involving regular reviews, collaborative feedback loops, and stakeholder validations. Even post-design, we continued supporting the WordPress development team to preserve design fidelity through final deployment.
Value Creation and Impact of Our Solution
